Project Brief

This research designs and implements a standalone 5G core network testbed based on Open5GS with a cloud-native architecture orientation. This research aims to build a lightweight and functional standalone 5G core network, implement high availability and scalability mechanisms, and ensure compliance with the ETSI MANO framework through resource-efficient deployment. The research methodology encompasses system architecture design, K3s implementation with Horizontal Pod Autoscaler (HPA) for five stateless control plane network functions, and testing through functionality validation, lifecycle management evaluation, and resource profiling.
